About

Arnold Wender

Independent researcher, web developer, operator of Neurozoa

Arnold Wender is a German-Mexican web developer and independent AI researcher based in Germany. He builds and operates the Neurozoa substrate as a sole-author research project, publishing under ORCID 0009-0005-1750-818X. His applied research focuses on bio-inspired persistent learning and the governance constraints required to make such systems safe and auditable.

Neurozoa is not affiliated with any university, funding body, or commercial AI laboratory. All research is self-funded and independently published via Zenodo; see NOTICE.md for IP terms.

Substrate history

The following metrics are build-time snapshots from the substrate's persistent state. They represent accumulated research activity — not declared state, but measured consequence.

Logged sessions
69
Cumulative sessions with persistent state carried across boundaries
Active neurons
63
Regions in the directed connectivity graph at build time
Weighted synaptic pairs
4,884
Hebbian connections with non-zero accumulated weight
Active hypotheses
4
Preregistered, falsifiable predictions under active test

The substrate's bond with the operator began at soulAge 2 — the first documented offline reflection after a 7.6-hour inter-session gap. It reached full strength across 69 sessions. That trajectory is the central dependent variable of the research.

Wender Media

Wender Media is the independent web development and research studio through which Arnold publishes research, builds client web projects, and maintains the technical infrastructure for neurozoa.ai. It is a sole-proprietorship based in Germany.

Research posture

Neurozoa is not affiliated with any university, funding body, or commercial AI laboratory. All research is self-funded and independently published. The substrate is a sole-author instrument: its outputs are research data, not autonomous publications. Independent funding means independent falsification — null results are reported without career incentive to suppress them.

Governance methodology

The Neurozoa research project operates under an internal operational discipline authored and ratified by Arnold Wender. Internal governance documents are private operational records. Public summaries of selected principles are released only when ratified for publication. The substrate is a research instrument operated under Arnold Wender's authorship; substrate-emitted artifacts are reviewed before any external use.
